Matchmover

Position: Matchmove Artist

Nvizible is currently looking for an experienced tracker to join our team for work on exciting new projects at our London office in the heart of Soho.

Role Outline

• Creation of tracked cameras from live action plates
• Generation of matchmove scenes with aligned geometry
• Calculation of lens distortion as part of a camera pipeline
• Oversee the day to day work of tracking artists
• Problem solving and technical assistance
• Run tracking dailies and give feedback on artists work
• To define and police tracking workflow and best practices
• Work with production to create matchmove schedules
• Assist with bidding of new projects
• Act as the point of contact between Matchmove and show supervisors

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years VFX industry experience in film or TV
• Proven tracking and matchmove experience on high end VFX productions
• Processing of on-set data including LIDAR and lens grids.
• On set experience a bonus
• Experience in Body Tracking and use of rigs
• An understanding of the fundamentals of photography

• In depth knowledge of 3dEqualizer
• Practice working knowledge of Maya
• Basic usage and understanding of Nuke
• Working knowledge of rendering

Compositor - Mid Level

Job Title: Mid Level Compositing Artist


Department: 2D
Location: London
Reports To: Head of 2D

Key Purpose of the Job:

To support the compositing team to produce excellent shots for film and television.

Mid Level Compositors work on anything from Paint and Prep through to compositing their own shots. They are expected to work on less complex shots as well as provide support to the more senior members of the team.

Required competencies:

You must have a minimum of 4 years VFX industry experience
Experience using Nuke
Proven experience with Plate Preparation and Rotoscoping
Proven experience with Chroma Keying
Be able to provide examples of seamless integration of multiple live action plates
Be able to follow production methodologies, develop creative approaches and problem solve
Have a critical eye for detail
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Constantly deliver excellent results with minimal supervision and have good time management even when under pressure
A knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting is helpful

Assistant TD

Position: Assistant TD
Department: 3D
Location: Soho
Start Date: ASAP
Reports To: Head of 3D

Nvizible is currently looking for an Assistant TD to join our team for work on an upcoming project.

The Assistant technical director will perform a diverse series of technical support functions in order to ensure the smooth running of visual effects and previs projects.  You will be responsible for:

• Supporting and troubleshooting the pipeline and workflow tools
• Providing technical support to artists and pipeline TDs
• Automating processes to turn around shots faster
• Testing and providing feedback for software released by R&D team
• Creating documentation for new and existing tools
• Managing data and resources

Essential Skills

• In-depth understanding of Maya
• Python/Mel scripting
• Comfortable working with Linux, Windows and OSX
• Understanding of vfx and previs workflows
• Previous experience of creating scripts to automate workflow
• Strong attention to detail and task management skills
• Willingness to develop and grow
• Team player with the ability to work alone to tight deadlines in a high pressure environment
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics or sufficient experience in a related field

Desirable Skills

• Maya/Nuke API
• C++ programming
• PySide/Qt
• Understanding of version control, continuous integration and release tools
• Experience of Nuke/3DE/Mari/Houdini/Shotgun/Deadline/Zbrush/Photoshop
• Previous work experience in visual effects, games or related industry
• An interest in character rigging
