The Promise
Nvizible is proud to have delivered all the visual effects for Channel 4's epic new series "The Promise". The series of four feature-length films, set in present-day Israel and 1940's Palestine required a wide variety of seamless vfx work, totalling over 200 shots.
Nvizible's VFX Supervisor, Paddy Eason, travelled out to Israel for the shoot, and was involved with the production from its early stages. Included in Nvizible's effects work were CGI ships, aircraft, explosions, ruined buildings, TV screen inserts, muzzle flashes, and a fair amount of blood and gore. Also vital was the huge amount of digital "cleanup" work required to return the modern day locations to a correct 1940's period look.
VFX Supervisor Paddy Eason - "I loved Peter Kosminsky's previous work, and once I'd read the scripts for The Promise I knew I had to be involved. It's a privilege to work on a production like this that has everything going for it - wonderful writing, explosive subject-matter, beautiful locations and a great cast. I'm so happy we were able to add just a little invisible digital icing to the cake."
