Wrath of the Titans
Nvizible is proud to have delivered 70 shots for Warner Bros Wrath of the Titans, Directed by Jonathan Liebesman.
One of the films most impressive set pieces was the armillary sphere, which called for a CG miniature (the challenge was actually making it look like a practical miniature). This was created using Maya, Mudbox, Mari and Renderman, and is shown off to best effect in the 42 second fly through of the miniature, which we rendered in full stereo. Many layers of effects were deployed to create a continuity in context of the sequence.
Nvizible was also responsible compositing of the interior of the Tartarus, a gloomy and cavernous underground dungeon, where leader of the Titans, Kronos has been imprisoned after being overthrown by his sons Zeus, Hades and Poseidon, which was achieved using Nuke, complemented by our proprietary software.
In addition to many greenscreen composites Nvizible enhanced the weapons of the Gods as well as converting all of the Tartarus shots for stereo 3D viewing. We very much enjoyed working with VFX Supervisor Nick Davis and VFX Producer Rhonda Gunner on this challenging yet enjoyable show. Nvizible’s work was supervised in-house by Martin Chamney and Matt Kasmir.
