John Carter
Nvizible is proud to have worked on John Carter, directed by Andrew Stanton, delivering 300 shots for a preview screening, plus 40 shots for the final film.
Nvizible was initially brought on board to produce "temp" versions of a number of sequences in the film, including one with CG Thark character animation, for which the team had close contact with the director, Andrew Stanton. We were also instrumental in developing how the "Thern" material would look and move in a sequence at the end of the film, where it encompassesa number of characters.
We developed an efficient pipeline that enabled a small team to produce a large number of shots, and allowing the clients to view significant changes on a daily basis.
We also produced 40 shots for the finished film, primarily for sequences set on Earth at the start and end of the film, including set extensions outside a prison and replacing a view across a canyon.
It was a pleasure to work on this film with Andrew Stanton, as well as VFX Supervisor Eric Brevig and VFX Producer Dan Barrow. Nvizible's work was supervised in-house by Hugh Macdonald, and produced by Kim Phelan.
